The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and its evolution since the 1960s partially explain a number of aspects relating to agricultural land at the European level: changes in land use; the evolution of land prices and rents; the evolution of farm structures and the renewal of the agricultural workforce; and the evolution of national policies for regulating agricultural land.
